ADVENTIST WORLD The Hiroshima Miracle より

The Hiroshima Miracle Saved from the atom bomb RYOKO SUZUKI Share Comments The Hiroshima Miracle On August 6, 1945, Hiroshima, Japan, became the first city in history to be destroyed by a nuclear bomb. While the devastation and loss of life was horrific, today, on the seventy-fifth anniversary of that fateful event, we’re reflecting on the amazing stories of the Hiroshima Seventh-day Adventist Church members—all of whom survived.—Editors Asako Furunaka Asako Furunaka was born on August 12, 1921, the daughter of a successful businessman in Japan. Driven and highly intelligent, she attended night school after graduating as a teacher. At age 32 she became a newspaper reporter, a rare thing for a woman of her day to do. She married a college professor, and though they were not blessed with children, she had a blissful life. One day when she was in her early 20s, Asako’s life was shattered when her husband confessed that he had a lover and wanted a divorce. Feelings of despair and ange...

United Prayer

イメージ
We all have times when we remember the faults of others and think, “I hate my ugly heart,” but our hearts don't listen to us. Some people suffer for the rest of their lives because of this. I received so much strength at the United Prayer yesterday. My heart was changed greatly before and after entering the prayer circle. Thank you Jesus for being with us. The second half of yesterday's meeting was a testimony meeting. I was the host and started by praying, “Heavenly Father, remind us of Jesus.” I I was amazed by the testimonies of Jesus' presence in every kind of problems, loneliness, children, and so on. Jesus is the one who hears prayers. We praise Him!

If two of you shall agree on earth

“ Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. ” Matthew 18-18 When I visited SDA Tachikawa Church in June, I gave my testimony with this scripture. In the past, when I was in a prayer meeting where two people prayed together, when the other person prayed, I did not pray with the other person's heart, but prayed for myself in my heart. However, United Prayer taught me to pray with others, and I started praying with my mother, who had almost forgotten her knowledge of the Bible, by name on the phone. Then a friend of my wife's unexpectedly contacted us and her daughter, for whom we had been praying, was baptized. We also found that other prayers were heard one after another. One lady who was listening to us immediately said with an enthusiastic look on her face, “Please pray for my family together in this place. So we prayed together. Yesterday, when I went to ...

Basiri 's Testimony

Several years ago, Basili was a police officer in Moldova. He had become convinced of the truth of the Bible and of this precious Second Coming mission and wanted to be baptized as a Seventh-day Adventist.   When he told his family about this newfound faith, his father and mother disowned him, his brothers said they no longer considered him a brother, his wife Galina said she would divorce him, and his police chief said he would never have a Sabbath day off. His police chief said he would never give him Shabbat rest. Basiri simply opened his Bible and struggled through the scriptures, praying with God that God would give him direct answers to his prayers. What should he do? He opened his Bible. And by God's grace, his eyes were caught by the words of Matthew 10:35-38, where he was told how family can be our enemy and that if you love your father or mother more than Christ, you are not worthy of Him. Basili felt led to take Jesus' cross and heed His command to follow Him. Basi...

Even if I die

One day, a patient was admitted to the hospital. The name of the disease was cancer, metastasized in 6 places. Once we tried to open it up surgically, but it was too late and it closed up again. However... The patient was very cheerful. She said, "I really got to know the person of Jesus through cancer. I am truly grateful. And even in the hospital ward, she was saying, "I am thankful that I have cancer," "I am thankful that I have cancer," and other patients said, "Excuse me, can you please be quiet a little? Could you please be quiet for a moment?” In the end, she had to have another surgery. A local pastor was present and prayed with the doctor. After the prayer, the pastor asked the doctor, "Doctor, are you okay? The doctor answered, "No, I don't think so," and the pastor said, "I guess so. However, when this patient climbed up on the operating table, "Even if I die from this, I thank God. He said, "Even if I die from...

There are three things the devil hates.

There are three things the devil hates. 1, Jesus' name. 2. thanking Jesus. 3. apologizing to Jesus. It is simple, but really deep in meaning. The name of the Lord is like a strong tower, into which the righteous run to obtain salvation. This is the great power of reality. Jesus has absolute dominion over the devil. Even the demons believe and are terrified...it is also a reality. A girl was playing with an evil demon with a friend and suddenly fell down and started talking about a man's voice! The teacher got scared and ran away. This girl was saved by these three, Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus' name! The girl was restored to health. The name of the book that served one purpose at that time was was "The Great Controversy"

”Your God may be here..."

This is my family's testimony. When she was a student, she started working part-time as a tutor. When she received her first paycheck, she told her friends that she was giving a tenth of her earnings to the church. Her friend asked, "Why are you giving to the church when you earned it?" He asked me, "Why do you give to the church? She told her friend, "Because the book of Malachi in the Bible says to return a tenth of your money because it belongs to God. She told her friend that she had been tithing since she was a little girl, and that her parents had also been tithing for a long time, and she had seen them receive great blessings as promised. After a while...she began to receive a number of good part-time jobs, tutoring, and other jobs that other people could not get because of their circumstances. And she was visibly receiving more blessings than the others. Her friend, who had been watching her, said to her, "Maybe your God is here..."
