Basiri 's Testimony
Several years ago, Basili was a police officer in Moldova. He had become convinced of the truth of the Bible and of this precious Second Coming mission and wanted to be baptized as a Seventh-day Adventist. When he told his family about this newfound faith, his father and mother disowned him, his brothers said they no longer considered him a brother, his wife Galina said she would divorce him, and his police chief said he would never have a Sabbath day off. His police chief said he would never give him Shabbat rest. Basiri simply opened his Bible and struggled through the scriptures, praying with God that God would give him direct answers to his prayers. What should he do? He opened his Bible.
